(For general information about Prompts, see How do Prompts work?)
There are several ways to see and track student responses to Prompts:
- View all responses to a single Prompt.
- View a particular student's responses to all Prompts.
- View a grid of all students and which Prompts they have responded to.
View all responses to a single Prompt.
1. Find the Prompts section near the top of the Home or a Group feed.
2. Tap the Prompt you'd like to see responses for and then tap "View Prompt".
3. Scroll down to see the list of all responses and all comments on responses.
4. If the Prompt includes required cogs, each response will have a small vertical bar next to it.
The bar's color designates:
- green-- required cogs have been assessed positively a teacher
- red-- required cogs have been assessed negatively by a teacher
- empty-- no teacher has assessed required cogs
View a particular student's responses to all Prompts.
1. Navigate the student's profile page. (See How do see information related to a particular student?)
2. The student's Prompts are displayed in the Prompts section.
3. Note for each Prompt, the student's response status is displayed.
or
4. To see the student's responses to a Prompt, tap the Prompt and tap "View Response".
View a grid of all students and which Prompts they have responded to.
1. Tap the "Responses" button in the Prompts section near the top of the Home or a Group feed.
2. View the grid of all students in the Class/Group and which Prompts they have responded to.
3. Each row represents the status of a student to their Prompts. Let's zoom into Jaydeen's row as an example.
a) The blue circles represent Prompts Jaydeen has responded to.
In the view above, Jaydeen has responded to the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th Prompts.
b) The hollow circles represent Prompts Jaydeen has not responded to.
In the view above, Jaydeen has not responded to the 2nd and 3rd Prompts.
c) The colored bar next to each blue circle represents:
green-- required cogs have been assessed positively by a teacher
red-- required cogs have been assessed negatively by a teacher
empty-- no teacher has assessed required cogs
For example, in the view above, Jaydeen has responded to the first Prompt and the required cog has been assessed positively by a teacher.
d) The "completed" metric represents the number of Prompts this student has responded to over the total number of past due Prompts.
In the view above, Jaydeen has responded to 4 out of the 7 prompts that are past due.
e) The "upcoming" metric represents the number of Prompts this student has responded to over the total number of Prompts that aren't due yet.
In the view above, Jaydeen has responded to 0 out of the 10 Prompts that aren't due yet.
f) The "assessed" metric represents the number of responses by this student that have been submitted and have required cogs but have not yet been assessed by a teacher.
In the view above, a teacher has assessed 2 out 4 four of the responses Jaydeen has submitted.
